Our Manifesto
We reject the frantic commodification of places. Instead, we advocate for voyages that leave spaces cleaner, communities respected, and travellers transformed.
Founded in 2021, 111111 emerged as an antidote to listicle tourism. Our contributors—including anthropologists, nature photographers, and master sommeliers—travel without corporate sponsorships that dictate coverage.
Every itinerary tested has been traversed on foot, by rail, or via local ferry routes. We believe genuine discovery happens when itineraries allow for unstructured afternoons and unscripted exchanges with residents.

Core Pillars
We advocate staying in one region for an extended duration, minimizing domestic air hops, and fostering authentic regional understanding.
Highlighting properties implementing regenerative agriculture, closed-loop water treatment, and land conservation trusts.
Focusing on family-run vineyards, historic fermentation traditions, and hyper-seasonal foraged fare cooked over open flame.
We actively welcome independent travel writers, architectural preservationists, and nature photographers to contribute to 111111.
